As we see, Usopp's first reaction to the situation is to try to ignore the awkwardness altogether and try to treat the situation as normal. "You have to apologize" "oh, yeah, sure, I totes do". Telling Usopp the conditions would actually nullify their meaning. The line that really stuck with me was: "Is leaving the crew such a simple thing to do?!" The thing is, it's not just respect for Luffy, it's respect for everyone. As others have mentioned, it is a matter of respect. There is a lot of subtle stuff happening during those scenes. I was starting to hate him as each arc went on. GG Iceburg,įinally, Usopp has been utilized well. It was so sad, from Usopp losing it (her? him?) to Aqua Laguna, then the return, and her Last voyage. Sad parts before this made me sad, but this one just gave my feelings a strong arm. I liked how this balanced and had a bit of everything that I got me into the anime. The others were either too sad, or a bit too (annoyingly) goofy. This is definitely my favorite arc of the anime so far. It was torture tosee what happened next.įirst of all, WOW.
